Move Elders With Ease has been serving the Greater Triangle and Eastern North Carolina areas since 2009. Our compassionate staff, led by Susan Stanhope, ease the transition and help you declutter, supervise professional packing and relocate into a new residence that feels like home. All of the Move Elders With Ease team members will bring a capable and compassionate presence to your move. Our team of relocation experts has years of experience planning, managing and executing moves and home clean-outs.

My professional and volunteer experiences in non-profit management and senior-oriented industries give me a wide network of trusted resources to meet the varying needs of our clients. As a certified Senior Move Manager, I am able to juggle the many details of client projects while keeping the larger end goal in sight.

I enjoy supervising the packing and unpacking process, but I love to organize. In my role at Move Elders With Ease, I do all three and meet some fabulous people. I thoroughly enjoy working at Move Elders With Ease; the seniors I meet often have great stories to share, and the team is kind, compassionate and fun. When I'm not helping clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, boating, wake surfing, and anything to do with water and lake life!

Moving at any age can be stressful. I love being able to help alleviate that stress by working within a team to execute all aspects of the move. Helping clients feel comfortable transitioning into a new space is a very rewarding experience, especially when making their new space feel like home. In my spare time, I enjoy taking long walks, working on upcycling and DIY projects, and spending time on the Pungo River in Eastern NC.

I have 20 years working with seniors. I get great joy in interacting with them, helping them and hearing their stories. Working with MEWS is a natural fit—both with the seniors along with my helpful Teammates.
I enjoy being with our two golden retrievers and friends when not at work.

My favorite thing about this job is organizing during a unpack. It's important to me to help make sure clients have everything they need to feel at home before we leave. I love being part of a team who each care to do their very best for each client so it is a smooth transition. In my spare time I like to be in my garden, take pictures of my flowers, go camping with my family and our dog, and serve in our church.

As long as I can remember I have loved organizing. It gives me a sense of “calm”- and who can’t use more of that in their daily lives?! Working with a cooperative team to help others during what can be an overwhelming time is so rewarding! When I’m not organizing I enjoy thrifting, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and doing volunteer work.
